



There are hundreds of different sized parcels of land with terraced wineyards that were initally started by monks 800 years ago. There are 8 appelations growing here with Chasselas being the most important. Switzerland is actually more known for its white wines in general.
In July 2007, the Lavaux was put on the UNESCO World Heritage Sites!

It is a lovely area to come and visit at any time of the year and see the progress of the growing grapes. 32 km of marked paths let you discover the Lavaux between Lausanne to Montreux. Today we have done the part between Lutry and Epesses, taking most of the afternoon.
